Xochilt Martinez - Purépecha
Administrative Volunteer
I am first generation, the first of seven siblings to seek graduate education, and the first in my family to go inside the prisons (state and federal) to assist Native American-Indigenous first nation men and women serving their time. Thirty years ago, I was asked to help by a warrior brother Isidro Gali and have been assisting and advocating ever since. It’s an honor and a blessing for me to be able to share and pass on the teachings of my elders.
